LA is a big beautiful place.
It makes up a lot of different towns, each one with something unique to offer. When traveling to LA, it can be hard to know just where to start.
Most people begin with the Hollywood sign, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and maybe do some shopping on Rodeo drive.
When I first moved to LA, I thought those were the highlights. But upon actually spending time in Hollywood, I had 2 realizations. 1) It wasn’t as glamorous as I thought and 2) there were people everywhere.
Since I was now actually living here, I wanted to know…what else is there? It’s such a big place, LA just has to have more to offer than one street in one part of town.
Now after living here going on 6 years, I’ve experienced the best part of this city with all the uniqueness and not quite so many crowds. Although let’s be real, any place in LA has a few crowds.
I’ve put some of my (and my friend’s) favorite LA spots into a guide: 15 Non Touristy Things to do in LA.
Included: a few of the best spots as well as a few insider tips and all the type-A information you’ll need. I’ve done all the leg work collecting the addresses, phone numbers, and hours of operations! What makes this guide even better?! I’ve noted which spots are dog-friendly (i.e. the best ones!)
What are you waiting for?!
Download my guide and get started on planning a trip to LA that isn’t just like everyone else’s while still taking in some of the most famous sites!
NOTE: For the download, it will appear as a zip file. You can unzip the file and enjoy! The pages are individual so you can print out the info ones in case you’re like me and make a trip binder for each adventure. I said type-A, didn’t I?
Get started down below and let me know what you think if you visit any of these places!
Welcome to LA (hopefully soon!)
