I never used to be a podcasts person. I just didn’t see where they would hold a place in my life. Because I watch a lot of tv and read a lot of books, I didn’t think I needed another source of entertainment. But then one day, I realized that Oprah has a podcast. And if Oprah has a podcast, then I better check it out. And it was amazing (duh). It filled a gap in my consumerism that I didn’t realize was there. I needed more girl bosses in my life.
These podcasts just appeared to me. Obviously, still a loyal Super Soul fan but I realized that women I was already loving on other platforms were starting podcasts and let me just tell you I am here for it.
So whether you already subscribe to 58 podcasts or are just trying to figure out where another thing could possibly fit into your lives, check these women out. Each woman is fierce in her own way. These girlfriends make you feel like you’re listening to your best friend while also dishing out the tough love. They are raw and real and quite frankly, this is what we need more of within social media, podcasts, the internet, society as a whole. Positivity, realness, and as Hilary Rushford would say, a whole lot of grace and gumption.
The Girl Boss Podcasts Line Up
Super Soul Conversations with Oprah Winfrey
Oprah. Need I say more? In case I do, Oprah brings all different kinds of people onto her podcast and gets interviews from them that no one else can. Then there are episodes that are just Oprah and a mic where she speaks wisdom into my soul. Get it? Super soul…
You’re Welcome with Hilary Rushford
This newer podcast is one I look out for every publishing day which happens to be on Wednesdays. Listening to Hilary is like listening to a girlfriend. She gets personal and shares her experiences, her business advice, her thoughts, and her latest favorites.
Goal Digger the Podcast with Jenna Kutcher
Jenna is my go-to guru for all things internet. Whether you’re thinking about starting a business/podcast/blog etc, Jenna has you covered. Her advice is always spot on and never condescending. She’ll bring on her expert friends and she has episodes where she dives into the more personal side of things. Jenna is a dose of tough love with an extra side of love.
For the Love by Jenn Hatmaker
Oh, Jenn Hatmaker. I just finished up her book, Of Mess and Moxie so when I saw she had a podcast, I had to dig in. She approaches topics on Christianity in a way that isn’t over the top, isn’t preachy, but does speak straight to the heart.
All four of these strong women are accomplished, incredible, pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps kind of women. In other words, my kind of women. These ladies cover everything and the best part? They all just so happen to be Christian women. But they don’t all always speak about God or faith but it’s the undercurrent in everything they do. This world needs more examples of modern, approachable Christian women and I am so glad to follow along with them and listen to their words. They inspire, uplift, and kick ya in the booty. What’s not to love?!
