New flowers suddenly burst open to reveal the colors within. Rain falls from the sky, washing away the old and nourishing what is soon to be soon. The sun stays golden a little longer and the birds chirp a little louder. Spring is a renewal. It is a fresh beginning.

Spring is a step that can’t be missed. It is one of the four seasons that brings nature and this spinning Earth full circle. Embracing and celebrating each individual season is what fills life out, brings the dandelion wishes into the margins.

Spring Bucket List in LA

LA is notorious for having its seasons limited to “hot” and “not as hot”. Therefore, acknowledging each season as it manifests in other parts of the world is very important to this Colorado-native-turned-LA-resident girl.

Although Spring may not appear in the way I’m used to, LA/Southern California does offer unique experiences and I intend on taking full advantage.

Knott’s Berry Farm

Much cheaper then Disneyland and every Spring, they have the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival. Definitely adding this one to my overall LA bucket list.

Huntington Library and Gardens

This one has been on my LA list since I moved here. This year, I’m going to make a concerted effort to make this one happen. Huntington Library and Garden is beautiful year round, I’m sure but in Spring, it isn’t quite as hot as it gets in the Summer and probably not as crowded with tourists yet to have touched down at LAX.

With a beautiful garden, library, and art collection, I could spend an entire day here and I can’t wait until I do.

Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier

Not that I’ve ever had a date here but I assume this would be a really fun date night. Again, due to the relentless heat that comes with Summer, this fun be-a-kid-again activity is perfect for Spring with it’s glorious 65 degree days.

Overall Spring in LA Tip

Really, any activity in LA that you’ve been wanting to hit, Spring is a great time to do it. If you’re a tourist, avoid traveling here in the summer. It’s way too hot and completely too crowded. Griffith Park and the Observatory only get crazier and less enjoyable as summer comes along. In my opinion, Spring is the time to cross this city off your list so you can enjoy the warm weather and the beaches with a little less noise.

If you’re not in LA and don’t plan on traveling here, there are activities that no matter what city I’m in, I like to make sure to squeeze in to celebrate Spring.
