Cozy Playlists to Curl Up With

November 9, 2020

After years of living in LA, it’s surreal to be in back in Colorado for Fall and Winter. I never realized how much of a seasonal person I was until moving to a place that only has the seasons of hot, perfect, and rainy. Where’s the snow? Where’s the crisp air?! True story, when I moved to LA I was touring apartments and one perk someone brought up was a covered parking space. Having lived in Colorado my whole life, this perk was always great so you didn’t have to clean snow off your car. I stated as much. And was met with giggles. No, it doesn’t snow here. It’s because of the snow.

It baffled my 22 year old mind. But I digress.

Because the weather refused to change, I found other ways to mark the changing of the seasons. One of them was wearing boots even if it made me sweat and the other was to make cozy playlists. I have one for those cozy feels, one for the inevitable plane ride (although might be a lot more driving home this year), and I have one that is just so dang good for your soul.

Since these playlists have year after year been such a pivotal part in my end of year wrap up, I thought I would share with you so you can get all the cozy playlists vibes.

Let me know what you think.

HI! I’m so glad you’re here. Every day I strive to make Scout and Bex a place of community over competition, faith over fear, and empowerment over doubt. The content here usually includes anything from lifestyle to travel, guides to stories, and everything in between.

Consider this space on the internet your sister in Christ that you always needed. That’s right, we’re Christ centered around here. We break the mold of what it looks like to be a modern woman of faith. To hold compassion and forgiveness and acceptance for other people, as Jesus would. That mentality does look different then a lot of us were taught to be as women of faith.

But we’re moving past what was taught to us because it was the culture of Christianity and moving into what the Lord has in store for us, the women He has created us to be. So tell me, are you ready? Is this a community you want to be a part of? Are you ready to join the rebellion? I personally can’t wait to make this thing official. If you’re here, I love you already.

I’m not selfish. I know what I deserve. I’m n I’m not selfish. I know what I deserve.

I’m not a bitch. I’m assertive.

I’m not conceited. I know my worth.

I’m not reckless. I’m courageous.

The third picture is why TLC said DONT go chasing waterfalls. But you know, just a flesh wound.

Besides injury and Kenna’s forgotten sandwich, it was an absolute perfect hike. Plenty of shade, little bit of a breeze, stunning views, and good company. What all the best California living days are made of 💛

After over a year in my home state, I came back to the home I created for myself. While it’s been a long 24 hours complete with midnight taxi rides, sushi from the place down the road, a dead battery and a much needed car wash, plumbing repairs, fanatic cleaning, working from my dining room table, buying creamer from 7/11, and a car chase outfitted with 5 helicopters directly over my house and 9 police cars zooming down my street. I’ll take it as LA’s way of welcoming me home. 🙃

Don’t mind me, just an appreciation post of my very best friend and the constant in my life. 7 years later and I still can’t get over his stinkin face.
I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery- air, mountains, trees, people. I thought this is what it is to be happy.”
